I second the motion to just replace it, with a good quality PSU. It seems to me this is a matter of a component in my power supply on its way to total failure. If I can save myself the money of buying a new power supply off eBay that may or may not work properly by replacing simple components I would like to. The +5v has a good resistance on the motherboard itself.
